Salviati’s Murano glass art meets shipbuilding art.
In conjunction with the celebrations for the 1600 years anniversary of Venice, Salviati comes back to the extraordinary location of “Arsenale” for the Salone Nautico Venezia 2021.
An incomparable historical context, in the heart of the Lagoon, consisting of a water basin of 50,000 square meters and ancient pavilions characterized by Istrian stone columns and large and bright vaults.
Salviati pays homage to the vastness of these historical spaces with the “Strata” project: majestic lighting installation, vision of transparency, colors and light. Honoring Salviati’s greatest lighting projects of the 60s and 70s, “Strata” enhance the beauty of glass by using modular structures that can extend in dimension and direction.
Fil rouge between the two worlds of Murano glass art and shipbuilding art will be “Barena” the new tableware collection made with Murano blown glass by Salviati, composed of drinking glasses and carafes.
