Salicornia small bowl set of 6

Set of six Murano glass small nut bowls. The solid foot is a stylistic choice that gives extra stability, highlighting the expertise of Salviati’s glassmasters.

Salicornia is an edible plant with a long, fleshy stem and small, opposite leaves, typically found along coastlines and salt marshes. Particularly rich in soda, it was historically used in glassmaking; today, it is featured in the most creative and experimental kitchens.

A plant naturally tied to Venice, its lagoon, and Murano glass, that inspired the re-edition of a precious tableware collection from the 1930s Salviati historical archive: a set consisting of a water glass, white wine glass, red wine glass, and a small bowl, all distinguished by a contrasting base. For the wine glasses, the base has been crafted in a trumpet shape, a technique that enhances the glass, providing both stability and elegance.
