In Piazza San Marco for the third edition of "Murano Illumina il Mondo"
Salviati presents Nature Rebirth, the chandelier created for the 2025 edition of Murano Illumina il Mondo in collaboration with international artist Christian Pellizzari and Galerie Negropontes.
The work explores themes of rebirth, natural evolution, and resilience. Christian Pellizzari chose the shapes of the egg and the tentacle as symbolic elements connected to life cycles and adaptation processes, identifying blown glass as the ideal material to express the delicate balance between fragility and regenerative power.
Nature Rebirth will be on view from November 22, 2025, through the end of February 2026 inside the Procuratie Vecchie in Piazza San Marco, nearby to the historic Olivetti Shop, as part of the exhibition “Murano Illumina il Mondo” dedicated to chandeliers created by twelve international artists in collaboration with twelve Murano glassmakers.

“Nature is a constant source of inspiration for me,” the artist explains. “The chosen forms reflect how living systems react and transform, and glass is a material capable of capturing that complexity.”
“In this project, art and design merge seamlessly: the piece maintains the functional vocabulary of a chandelier while embracing the poetic freedom and symbolic deepness of sculpture”. Sophie Negropontes, Founder of Galerie Negropontes
“We were immediately intrigued by Christian Pellizzari and Galerie Negropontes’s proposal, and we’re excited to have helped bring to life a project that puts artistic experimentation in conversation with Murano’s long-standing tradition”. Stefano Schiavon, President of Salviati.
