Born
in Sfax, Tunisia in 1959, Tom Dixon moved to the UK at the age
of 4.
He
studied at the Chelsea Art School and quickly became one of the most talked about
avant-garde designers.
He founded the brand Eurolounge whose
mission was to make design and industrialised artefacts more affordable.The
first production was the “Jack” light: an enormous success world-wide.
After having received the Milleniun mark in the UK, it was presented in Modern
Art museums around the world such as the Tate Modern in London, the Boston Museum
of Fine Art, the London Design Museum, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the MOMA
in New York.
Creation Director at Habitat since 2001.
For Salviati he created Colonna.
